helix Hotel Helix in Abu Dhabi

Leeser Architects plan of the Helix Hotel won at the contest sponsored by Al Qudra Real Estate and QP International. Named Helix Hotel for its staggered floor plates, it rests in the bay, in some measure floating in the water and neighboring to the serpentine Sheik Zayed Bridge at present under construction by Zaha Hadid.

With 208 guest rooms and suites set around a helical floor, the hotel instantly dispenses with the thought that guests must connect in the stale paradigms of inflexible hallways and atria that typify a characteristic hotel stay. For the reason of its exclusive design, each room has a slighly different view.
The Helix Hotel doesn’t have floors like we’re familiar with, instead it spirals in sections of a twisting from top to bottom without clear breaks, flowing from retail to residential, and hotel suites to saunas.
The indoor waterfall let for the accumulation of warmth in the hotel to be nominal by filtering cold water back up into the system while it falls through the void.

GROW panels are made from 100% recyclable polyethylene will be placed on the exterior and will gather energy from together the sun and the wind. Interior temperatures will be handled by a cascading waterfall in the atrium that will help preserve interior climate and humidity levels, at the same time as a retractable glass wall will open up to cool sea breezes that continually flow new air.
