Hodgson backs Hughes appointment at Fulham

Former Fulham manager Roy Hodgson believes Mark Hughes is an excellent choice to succeed him at Craven Cottage.

The Cottagers tonight confirmed the appointment of the ex-Wales, Blackburn and Manchester City boss on a two-year deal.

Mark Hughes will sign a two-year deal with Fulham but can expect only a £15m transfer budget

Hodgson, who led Fulham to the Europa League final last season, created the vacancy when he left the London club for Liverpool last month.
