Microsoft says 74 percent of work PCs still use Windows XP, extends downgrade rights until 2020
The latest Microsoft operating system may be selling seven copies a second, but it's no match for the behemoth Windows XP, still the most popular OS in the world despite recent nefarious attempts (we kid) to invoke spontaneous shutdowns, slow hard drives and trigger blue screens. In fact, a Microsoft exec admitted today that practically three-quarters of business computers still run the nine-year-old OS on hardware averaging 4.4 years old, and Computerworld's now reporting Microsoft will extend XP's lifespan through 2020 (you read that right) as a result. "Going forward, businesses can continue to purchase new PCs and utilize end user downgrade rights to Windows XP or Windows Vista until they are ready to use Windows 7," an official Windows blog post reads. We've heard the reluctance to upgrade is due to a reliance on older software and the cost of additional IT, but it probably doesn't hurt that Microsoft doggedly keeps distributing the OS despite the other choices on offer. Perhaps the futuristic Windows 8 will finally win the workplace over, but it seems Redmond's hedging its bets on this one. Look on the bright side: this way, when intelligent robots battle for control of the moon, at least the wrathful victors will still be vulnerable to the blue screen of doom.

Randy Swami Inspires Ramu!
Reportedly, Swami Nityanand's alleged romp in the bed with South actresses Ranjitha and Yuvarani have "inspired" RGV to kickstart his next opus, aptly titled 'God and Sex', based on the life of the sex centric godman.
"My film will explore all that goes on in the inside of ashrams," reveals RGV in a tabloid chat. "I am quite intrigued by all the scandals that these so called godmen are involved in. It is based on a recent sex scandal."
Query him on the tentative choice of lead actor… and Ramu states that "it's a difficult question, let me finish the script first. And then I will consider the casting."
Godmen, meawhile, are ducking for cover…

"Why no quota for women in Rajya Sabha"?
Why no quota for women in Rajya Sabha, asks Mamata
New Delhi: A day after her party boycotted voting on the women's reservation bill, Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday asked why a third of the Rajya Sabha seats too should not be kept for women."Why there is no 33 percent reservation for women in the Rajya Sabha?" an upset Banerjee asked reporters.
The Trinamool Congress chief said that her party had "so many times" raised the issue of reservation for women in the Rajya Sabha.
Banerjee said her party supported the women's bill in principle but would discuss the stand to be taken in the Lok Sabha when the bill comes up in the lower house. The Lok Sabha is tipped to pass the bill by March 16.
The historic women's bill reserves a third of seats for women in the Lok Sabha and state legislatures.
"We were not informed," Banerjee insisted, when asked why her party abstained from voting Tuesday in the Rajya Sabha where the Trinamool has two MPs, Mukal Roy and Swapan Sadhan Bose.
