NEW DELHI: On the day the Srikrishna panel submitted its report on Telangana issue, Jagan Mohan Reddy stepped up pressure on Congress by dashing to the Capital and regretting that PM had not given him time to apprise him of the woes of flood-hit farmers in coastal Andhra. He met agriculture minister Sharad Pawar with a request for better relief package.
Jagan, who quit Congress after his claim to CM's post following the death of his father Y S R Reddy was turned down, wrote to PM on Sunday for time to discuss flood relief with him, besides also seeking time with Pawar and textiles minister Dayanidhi Maran to discuss weavers' plight. After meeting Pawar, he said, "He assured me of readying a package in a day and taking it up with PM."
